Return of the Klutz
My new job, malheuresement, does not have a casual work dress atmosphere. I got very, very used to jeans, sneakers and not having to iron for over three years.

So, I wore a really cute brown dress today...sleeveless....orangish flowers with a shrug that matched those flowers. I also got to wear these brown slip on sandals that have about a 2 inch heel on 'em. Darn cute if I do say so myself.

I got home and headed down the stairs to get to the mail boxes and one of my shoes slipped off mid step. I slipped. Almost got my footing, but didn't. My left shin hit the second or third of the concrete steps and my right leg sort of scraped down along with it. My right calf is a glorious mess of purple and red.

I think I'm okay. I was a bit worried that I had fractured the left shin since it took a lot of the impact but I can stand on it. Sucks not having insurance for another 20 days or so.

On the plus side, I didn't tear up my dress. What was it Fernando used to say?

Thoughts from Traffic Time
I was stuck behind a van that proudly offered its vehicular advertisements today during my hour long commute home.

"Express Lube Job" just sounds downright XXX to me.

News for the moment
I have a job offer doing programming / data analysis in Marietta which is about 20 miles west of where I am. Seeing as how the commute within Alpharetta can take up to 40 minutes, I don't mind driving that long if I'm actually traveling miles that make sense. Unfriendly drives 7 miles to work and it can take him 35 minutes on side roads. Ugh.

HR for the company got delayed due to the holiday so instead of starting tomorrow, I *think* I'm starting Wednesday. Not sure. I'll know when I actually get the paperwork!

In between the cleaning / unpacking I discovered a local yarn store and the libray and am working on this. Here's a picture in the daylight.

July 4th Sunrise

It was a hazy morning and the sun was a beautiful red orange that unfortunately is not captured at all well here.
